The LORDS and business men 'influencing' the PARLIAMENT back in the 1800's - it's still going on with lobbyists, senators and politicians here. (The board was getting a little busy and the kids a little 'cached out', so we ended the history lessons of ENGLAND, FRANCE, LA FAYETTE, SIR WALTER SCOTT, LONGFELLOW, JOHN ADAMS, JOHN QUINCY ADAMS, CHARLES X, WASHINGTON IRVING...whew......etc.)
We learned today about La Fayette and his travels thru the '26 states' in 1824-1825! (he loved America so much, he even brought back to France a trunk of ______!) (the man on the bottom is WASHINGTON IRVING) (the 'man' on the VERY BOTTOM is Daniel!)
SIMON BOLIVAR and his triumphal parade through Caracas! YES, history says 'beautiful ladies' pulled his wagon through the town!? (i don't know if it was planned...staged OR if the ladies de-harnessed the horses and took over the pulling)....BUT that's what Genevieve Foster wrote!
