in graphic novel form, called RED - A HAIDA MANGA.

Written and drawn by Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas.

Beautiful, colorful images and style, and a nice change in

layout and design than most graphic novels.

I checked out this book THE DAILY ZOO - YEAR 2 from

our Eugene Library and it is such a great inspirational, creative book!

Written AND DRAWN by Chris Ayers who has been battling cancer

and this is his therapy...drawing some creative animal each day!

I was drawn in (no pun intended) by his battle, honesty,

creativity, insight and perseverance.

I just checked out the book YESterday!

I'll have to blow the dust on my sketchbook,

i'm such a sketch-wimp compared to Chris.

about the SEPOY MUTINY in INDIA!
(The Hindu's didn't want to bite off the new
British cloth cartridges with beef fat and the
Muslim's didn't also because the British also
used pig fat to seal the cartridges. So they both said "
NO! We won't fight for the East India Trading Company!
We'll fight AGAINST them!")

I see LIFEGATE in our Future!!

We're planning on having our 15 year old join LIFEGATE
JR./SR. HIGH SCHOOL next school year. We've already taken a tour,
she's spent a day sampling classes, and my wife and i
went to a family/board meeting recently and ENJOYED
(AND I GENERALLY HATE BOARD MEETINGS)  it!
The staff, board and parents really love and want to
nurture every student. PLUS, it's encouraging to see
the Lifegate graduates/students are winning scholarships,
state and national academic contests and acing test scores!
I'm cheering for Lifegate Jr./Sr. High School and
my daughters not even enrolled yet!

We learned about all the writers in the U.S. &
England during the 1840's...
R.W. Emerson wrote about his travels in England
and Charles Dickens wrote about his travels through the U.S.!
